Tomball, Texas

A crew that actually knows Tomball.

Tomball grew fast, but it kept its bones. You can stand on Main Street near the old depot and see homes that have been repainted a dozen times over the decades, then drive ten minutes to Wildwood at Northpointe or Lakes at Creekside and find brick-and-stone two-stories barely out of their builder warranty. We work both ends of that range. Valencia Ink is a second-generation, family-owned company out of North Houston, and Tomball is about as close to home turf as it gets.

The houses here are mostly brick and stone up front with Hardie or wood trim everywhere the sun and rain can reach, and that trim is usually what fails first. Gulf humidity feeds mildew on shaded north walls, and the summer sun cooks south-facing fascia until the caulk splits. Our go-to exterior system is Sherwin-Williams Duration, with the Rain Refresh self-cleaning upgrade for homeowners who want a finish that sheds dirt through the wet months.

A lot of Northpointe and Canyon Gate homes are now twenty-plus years old, which is right when builder-grade cabinets, wall texture, and garage floors all start asking for attention at once. We handle each of those in-house — no subs handing off blame — and Javier, who grew up on his dad's job sites, still checks the work. With 5.0 stars across 29 Google reviews, our name rides on every house we leave.

What We Do Here

The work Tomball calls us for.

Exterior Painting

Most Tomball builds pair brick fronts with Hardie or wood siding on the sides and back. We spray and back-roll Sherwin-Williams Duration — satin on Hardie and cedar — with the Rain Refresh self-cleaning upgrade for shaded, mildew-prone walls.

Cabinet Refinishing

The oak and maple cabinets in Northpointe-era kitchens were built to last, not to stay in style. We refinish them with Zinsser BIN shellac primer and Renner 2K catalyzed coatings, sprayed in an on-site booth behind ZipWall containment.

Interior Painting

Repaints for lived-in Tomball homes — walls, ceilings, doors, and trim. Colors sampled on your wall before we commit, floors and furniture covered, and cut lines sharp enough for the pickiest room in the house.

Garage Floor Coatings

Tomball garages work hard — trucks, mowers, deer gear. We diamond-grind the slab, then lay a polyurea base with a polyaspartic topcoat and full flake broadcast, a floor that shrugs off hot tires and dropped tools.

Drywall & Repairs

Settling clay soil and twenty-year-old tract framing mean cracks and nail pops. We repair the drywall and match your existing texture — knockdown, hopper, or orange peel — so the patch disappears before paint ever touches it.

Tomball Questions

Straight answers for Tomball homeowners.

My HOA in Canyon Gate or Wildwood has to approve exterior colors. Do you help with that?
Yes. Most master-planned communities in Tomball run color changes through an architectural review committee, and approvals can take a few weeks. We put together the submittal — color chips, product data, which surfaces get what — so you are not chasing paperwork. If you are staying close to your current scheme, approval is usually simple, but check your HOA's guidelines before falling in love with a bold front door.
When is the best time of year to paint an exterior in Tomball?
October through early June is the sweet spot. Coatings need dry surfaces and a stretch without rain, and Gulf humidity is the real variable here, not cold. We watch dew points and skip days when moisture would get trapped under the film. Summer work is still doable — we chase shade around the house — but spring and fall give the cleanest cure.
Is refinishing my kitchen cabinets worth it versus replacing them?
In most Tomball kitchens, yes. If the boxes are solid and the layout works, refinishing gets you a factory-grade finish for far less than new cabinets. We fill dings with a red bondo pass, prime with Zinsser BIN shellac, and spray Renner 2K catalyzed coatings in an on-site booth with an air scrubber running. If your doors are failing or you want a new layout, we will tell you straight that refinishing is the wrong buy.
